Tante Nino is proud to have recently been accepted as Residency Host for the European Commission's Culture Moves Europe Residency Action programme. We eagerly launched our first residency on July 1st, featuring Linea Generale, a fresh new sextet with members based in Italy and Rotterdam. Linea Generale captivated our audience at their debut concert in November 2023.  

During the Nuoro Jazz seminars last year, the six musicians were nominated as the "best participants of the 2023 edition." They felt an immediate connection with each other, which is crucial for musical harmony. They will perform at the prestigious Nuoro Jazz Festival in 2024, receive a scholarship, and are currently completing this residency to support their artistic development and prepare for recording their debut album in Sardinia in August 2024.

Key elements of Linea Generale's music include improvisation and lyrical compositions, drawing inspiration from Bill Frisell and Lee Konitz.
